Hello, I'm Kiran!
Hello, I'm Kiran!
I graduated with my doctorate from UC Davis, where I worked in the Tian laboratory to characterize and apply fluorescent biosensors to probe serotonin dynamics during aversive learning across brain regions. I am deeply curious about how diverse neural systems work in concert to shape brain state & behavior at the molecular, cellular, and systems level.
As a scientist, I prioritize collaboration and innovation—my best work is done in an interdisciplinary team setting. I pride myself in my ability to think and communicate creatively in order to make knowledge accessible to people at any level.
Outside of the lab, you can find me nose-deep in niche fragrance or hunting for the perfect picnic spot.
